White Solvent Ink provides Color Contrast

The allure of HP thermal inkjet (TIJ) for high speed mail addressing and package coding applications has been tempting end users for more than two decades.  And for good reason…. TIJ boasts a powerful value proposition with its clean technology, high print quality, reliability, and ease of use.

In 2014 Hewlett-Packard released a more industrial version of its print cartridge known as HP 45si.  The newer cartridge design accepts solvent-based inks, and prints hi-resolution codes from up to 5 millimeters away on products and packages.

The portfolio of solvent-based inks for industrial HP inkjet has come a long way in the past 2 years.  Black, red, blue and green inks are all commercially available from HP and their licensed ink partners.  Most recently, another break through was announced by AT Information Products regarding the ability to print on dark packaging.

Announcing IC2001 AUTPRINT® White Solvent ink.  The product was formulated for printing on non-porous applications such as dark plastics, glossy boxes and more.  The end user gets sharp, white printing with high optical density in a single pass.  Its fast dry time and high durability was designed for minimum smearing or transfer.

AT Information Products helps customers print on a wide variety of mailing and packaging substrates with its line of AUTOPRINT® coders and ink supplies.  Contact ATIP today at (201) 529-0202, or find them online at www.atip-usa.com
