Coding of Tyvek Packaging
AT INFO provides high-resolution coding solutions for various packaging materials, including Tyvek. Made from high-density polyethylene fibers, Tyvek is recognized for its durability, moisture resistance, and lightweight characteristics.
Tyvek is utilized in a wide range of applications due to its unique properties. In the medical field, it is used for sterile packaging of medical devices, surgical instruments, and pharmaceuticals, helping to maintain sterility through its moisture and barrier features. Tyvek is also employed in food packaging, shipping and mailing, cosmetics, and construction materials.
Markoprint coders that utilize HP thermal inkjet technology are commonly used for printing on Tyvek. The ink penetrates the material, producing high-resolution codes. For larger print areas, multiple HP printheads can be utilized. Markoprint also offers the Integra PP RAZR and Integra PP108, featuring 1.33-inch and 4.25-inch tall printheads, respectively.
Both aqueous and light solvent-based inks work effectively on Tyvek. Customers are encouraged to send their Tyvek substrates to AT INFO to make print samples. These requests can be sent to [email protected].
